| Attendance of Companions at Supreme Grand Chapter |
|
I am pleased to inform you that the ME First Grand Principal has decided that in future any Companion in good standing in an English Constitution Chapter may attend Convocations of Supreme Grand Chapter, unless on any occasion the Committee of General Purposes decides that there is a specific reason for attendance to be restricted to Installed Principals.
Companions attending who are not members of Grand Chapter will sit in the Balconies of the Grand Temple and will not be eligible to speak or vote.

| Role of Chapter DC at Installation Meetings |
|
It is the wish of the Provincial Executive that the Provincial DC who accompanies the Provincial representative at Installation meetings should conduct the recession from the temple and supervise proceedings at the festive board.
Please request your Director of Ceremonies to comply with this procedure.

| Election of Principals and Officers |
|
There appears to be some confusion as regards the simplified method of election of Principals and Treasurer.
It is emphasised that the names must be printed on the summons otherwise a paper ballot must be taken. The procedure is reproduced below.
Supreme Grand Chapter has amended Royal Arch Regulation 48 to allow an unopposed candidate to be declared elected without a ballot. However, details must appear on the summons as follows:
To elect the Principals and Treasurer. In the opinion of the Principals the following are the only candidates and unless a ballot is demanded the following shall be declared elected:

The Janitor should be elected by show of hands as before.

| Changes of Addresses |
|
Please remember that you are requested to highlight any address changes on the back of your summons. A number of letters with the Annual Convocation summons were returned and, on investigation, a different address was on the summons to that last notified to the Province.
