On the 6th of December 2007 at Royston Chapter No. 4304, E. Comp. Richard Ilott was installed into the 1st Principals chair. This event was officially attended by Richards brother - our M.E. Grand Superintendent - E. Comp. John Ilott, together with most of the Executive and a high percentage of the active Provincial Officers.

If you believe the rumours, E. Comp. Richard is (or was!!) predominantly a Warwickshire Royal Arch Mason so E. Comp. John invited the Grand Superintendent of Warwickshire to the event. Richard was not made aware of this so the clandestine games began.

Aproximately 15 Provincial Officers from Warwickshire joined the already impressive contingent from Hertfordshire and when both Provincial Grand Superintendents were received into the Chapter, Richard's face was a picture.

The Temple at Royston was filled to capacity to witness Richard's installation as 1st Principal, E. Comp. D. Cresser as 2nd Principal and Comp. Graham Long (now E. Comp.) as 3rd Principal.
