On Thursday 12th February 2026, at the regular convocation of Halsey Chapter no 1479, the Second Provincial Grand Principal, E. Comp Phil Masters, presented E. Comp George Laverick with his certificate celebrating his fifty years of service to the Royal Arch.

George was Initiated into Londonderry Lodge no 2039 in Durham on 17th February 1972 and subsequently joined nine other Lodges and served as Master on no less than five occasions.

He was exalted into Londonderry Chapter of Amity no 2039 in Durham on 5th December 1974 on his 26th Birthday and subsequently joined four other chapters, three of them in Hertfordshire and one in Met and served as MEZ of Edmonton Latymer Chapter no 5023 here in Hertfordshire in 2018.

At the same meeting, Bro David Ewart of Halsey Lodge no 1479 was exalted into the Royal Arch in fine style by the MEZ, E Comp Tom Cousins along with other members of the Chapter.

On the conclusion of the exaltation, E. Comp Roderick Kent, Provincial Grand Mentor presented Comp David with the Royal Arch guide (The white book) and explained the significance of the Royal Arch Jewel after which he was welcomed and congratulated by E. Comp Phil Masters, Second Provincial Grand Principal.
