The East Hertfordshire Chapter No 3748 met at Cheshunt on 19th January. At this meeting the Companions were delighted to receive the Second Provincial Grand Principal, Peter Walters, and Provincial Grand Charity Steward, Brian Handley.
The Companions confirmed a donation of £1000 to the 2030 Festival gratefully received by the Provincial Grand Charity Steward. Reflecting the approach recommended by the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, the Chapter also continues to support local charities and at the same meeting confirmed contributions to Garden House and Isabel Hospices as well as the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Emergency Critical Care Scheme.
On this occasion, the Chapter did not have an Exaltation, so in addition to a presentation of the three lectures, the Companions were treated to a talk by Excellent Companion James Harrison, a member of the Chapter, in his role as Provincial Grand Master of Hertfordshire Mark, and his team on Mark Masonry in
Hertfordshire and the Royal Ark Mariners. This was also supported by members of the Chapter who were able to display the various regalia worn.
All was ably overseen by the Three Principals in their first meeting since being installed in their respective offices and a convivial Festive Board followed.
