As you read this narrative, you may be wondering why a new Chapter consecrated in the Province of Suffolk is appearing on the news page of our website…..well our Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, E Comp James Sharpley along with three other Most Excellent Grand Superintendent’s from the Provinces of Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Norfolk were the Consecrating Team as the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent for the Province of Suffolk, E Comp David Boswell was being installed as the MEZ; the Provincial Grand Master for the Province of Suffolk, E Companion Ian Yeldham was being installed as H and the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent for the Province of Cambridgeshire, E Comp William Dastur was being
installed as J.
The consecrating team led by the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent for Bedfordshire, E Comp Tony Henderson was assisted by our Grand Superintendent, E Comp James Sharpley: E Comp John Keeble, Most Excellent Grand Superintendent for Buckinghamshire and E Comp Stephen Allen, Most Excellent Grand Superintendent for Norfolk, delivered a wonderful
consecration ceremony befitting the occasion.
Following the consecration, the Chapter was opened and the business of the Chapter was conducted in a very friendly and effortless manner by the new MEZ, E Comp David Boswell. The Consecration and Convocation was attended by over 140 members and guests, some of whom were from Hertfordshire, including the Deputy Grand Superintendent, E Comp David
Hampton and the Immediate Past Provincial Grand Master of the Mark Degree in Hertfordshire, E Comp Chris Radmore to name but two. At the Festive Board, we dined in fine style and the occasion was presided over by the new MEZ, E Comp David Boswell in a very sincere, convivial and amusing way. Towards the end of his address, the MEZ presented each of the Consecrating Team with a Province of Suffolk Tie, in token of recognition for their assistance at the meeting….a good time was had by all present.
