The Provincial Grand Scribe Ezra, David Broomer, attended by a substantial entourage consisting of The Assistant to the Provincial Grand Principals Peter Young, the Provincial Assistant Director of Ceremonies Neil Storey, the Provincial Grand Scribe Nehemiah Roy Bridgen, the Provincial Grand Registrar Matthew Rose, the Provincial Grand Almoner Robert Gurney and the Provincial Grand Steward Philip Clark, visited Queen’s Oak Chapter 9262 held on Wednesday 19th November at the very interesting Mayflower Place in Hertingfordbury. Unusually, and widely anticipated by the provincial team, in addition to the installation of the Principals there was on the agenda a ballot for an exaltee followed by an exaltation subject to positive outcome of the ballot.
Unfortunately, the proposed exaltee was unable to attend but the ballot was positive resulting in an Exaltation for their May meeting. However, the Provincial Grand Scribe Ezra was able to present two Grand Chapter Certificates and provided very interesting historical context relating to the connection between Craft and Royal Arch masonry. This all augurs very well for the Chapter. The festive board was very convivial, being conducted with humour mixed with formality as was the Convocation.
