The Chapter was opened in due form by the Principals with some 60 companions attending.

Then I, as Provincial Grand Mentor entered the chapter and announced that the Grand Superintendent, The Deputy Grand Superintendent and the Provincal, 2nd Grand Principal, accompanied by numerous Provincial, Officers, were outside the chapter. They then entered to the acclaim of the companions in the Chapter.

The principals elect were then installed in an excellent manner.

The address to robes and sceptres were given.

The officers of the chapter were then appointed and invested.

Supreme Grand Chapter certificates were then presented to Comps Chris and Lindsay Badrock by the Dep Grand Superintendent E. Comp Robbert Asser in a most thought-provoking manner.

We were then treated to a wonderful oration on the “first” 50 years of Penmans Green Chapter which was given by E. Comp Rod Kent in a most informative and joyful manner to the delight of all the campanions which received rapturous applause.

We received the almoners report.

We received the charity stewards report where E. Comp Tim Bingle presented a cheque for a £1,000 to the Provincial Charity Steward – E. Comp Brian Handley donated to the Herts 2030 Festival.

We recived the mentors report.

The risings – the provincial delagation were thanked for their attendance on the 2nd rising. on the 3-4th rising news of exaltations for the next meeting.

Chapter was closed.

Delegation was led out in an excellent manner by the DC E. Comp Rod Kent.
The principals were led into festive board and grace given.

On the table for each companion was a commemorative brochure with a synopsis of the oration heard in the chapter listing all those attendiing from province wine takings.

Alms was collected at the table and the raffle raised £350.00.

The usual toasts were given.
A special toast was proposed to penmans green chapter in a very heart felt manner by E. Comp Robert Asser.
Tylers toast given.
The evening ended in love and harmony at 9.20pm.
