Cranbourne Chapter 1580 Celebrates Their Centenary

On October the 18th Cranbourne Chapter 1580 celebrated their Centenary and were presented with their Centenary Charter by the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent James Sharpley.

84 Companions attended the Convocation and 83 attended the Centenary Banquet. The Centenary ceremony followed the Installation Ceremony and a significant Provincial presence of ten Excellent Companions were in attendance. After the presentation of the Centenary Charter, MEGS presented Centenary jewels to the three principals and then all Cranbourne Chapter Companions were allowed to wear their Centenary jewels.

E Comp David Hampton presented four Grand Chapter Certificates to four Companions. Additionally two cheques for £500 were voted unanimously to go to the Masonic fishing Charity and to Manufacturing for Disability.

Historical booklets were published containing a short history of the Chapter, various statements from Principals and key Companions and a copy of the Oration from E Comp John Linley. The festive board with special dining cards showing Officers 2023 alongside named Officers from 1923 was a delight for all concerned finalising a most enjoyable and memorable experience!
