At the meeting of the North Watford & Oxhey Chapter, No 6918, held on Saturday 18th June 2016 at Watford Masonic Hall, 28 companions marked the 10th Anniversary of the amalgamation of Oxhey Chapter with North Watford Chapter. The Immediate Past Grand Superintendent, E Comp John Ilott, who presided at the amalgamation meeting in 2006, attended this special meeting and expressed his delight at the success of the Chapter.
E Comp John Ilott was warmly welcomed by the Principals of the Chapter, E Comps’ Jim Reynolds, Gavin O’Sullivan and Paul Clark and the remainder of the Companions. The First Principal, E Comp Jim Reynolds – who was also present at the amalgamation meeting – and E Comp John Ilott both commented that the Chapter was in good heart 10 years on and that amalgamations can be successful when a positive attitude is displayed by the membership. The Chapter meets three times a year on a Saturday and welcomes visitors, joining members and exaltees.
