The 2015 Royal Arch Golf Day was blessed with excellent weather as 54 intrepid golfers took to the fairways of Redbourn Golf Club to compete for two trophies & four prizes and have a most enjoyable day out.
The golf was followed by dinner, prize-giving, a raffle and an auction, all of which raised in excess of £800.
The winner of the singles competition was once again won by a non-Herts Companion, Grant Convey. The runner-up was Philip Lever with 37 points and Phil won the Alec Fuller Cup which is awarded for the best score by a Hertfordshire Companion.
The doubles competition was won by Grant Convey and Dan Peck from Bedfordshire, but the rules of the Sydney Tuck Trophy are such that it can only go to a Hertforshire team and the runners up were David Broomer and John Piggott both of East Herts Chapter 3748.
The two longest drive competitions were won by Dan Peck (Beds) and Carlton Patterson of Rickmansworth Chapter 2218, and the two nearest the pin competitions were won by Dan Peck and Jay Patel (Berkhamstead Chapter 504).
