On the 25th January, I had the pleasure and privilege of not only being the escorting DC for the 2nd Provincial Grand Principal, E.Comp. Robert Asser, but also being able to witness an entirely enjoyable and special Installation meeting at Stortford Chapter no. 409.
With the Installation Ceremony being done to a high standard, there was further offerings to be enjoyed.
Firstly, with the presentation of Grand Chapter Certificates being given by Robert Asser to Companions Andrew Boxall and Paul Wilson, which they received with glee.
This followed on later into the meeting, during the Second Rising, where unbeknown to E.Comp. Edward Miller, he was surprised and delighted to be presented with his Most Excellent Grand Superintendent’s Certificate of Service to Royal Arch Masonry by the 2nd Provincial Grand Principal. Edward was due to be presented with his Certificate of Service at the November 2022 Annual Convocation, but unfortunately, due to suffering with some health issues, Edward was not able to be in attendance.
Edward was truly humbled, happy and entirely appreciative to receive his certificate and lapel badge, and stood to give an eloquent speech of thanks and gratitude.
It was a delight to then close the Chapter and include Edward in the recession as a holder of the Certificate of Service, as well as him being given a special toast of congratulations at a wonderful Festive Board.
